Burnaby Velodrome Club

An award winning logo and visual identity for a legendary sports centre.

Brand identity and logo for Burnaby Velodrome Club, the premier track cycling facility in the Pacific Northwest and one of only two indoor velodromes in Canada. The facility is a training and racing centre for Olympic and amateur cyclists, as well as a community centre that teaches track cycling to youth and people new to the sport. The challenge was to create visual brand that inspired all these audiences, as well as devising a system to apply to signage and clothing.

The stylized b icon is inspired by the construction of the track itself: hardwood strips of pine, and the brand colours devised from the painted lines on the track.
